Renewed Life Counseling Mission
My mission is to use the best cutting-edge therapies that integrate body, mind, and spirit to help people rediscover their strengths and bring their whole self into alignment so that they can achieve healing
Renewed Life Counseling Vision
My vision is to be the premier resource on the Front Range for trauma-informed care to individuals, couples, families, and communities
I have been working in the mental health field since 2004. I have worked in a variety of settings – inpatient facilities, community care, and school counseling – and have worked with everyone from kindergarteners to adult seniors. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and groups.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from Huntington University (IN), and my Master’s degree from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I have been recognized by the International Association of Trauma Professionals as a Certified Clinical Trauma Provider (Level 2), with additional training in neuroscience, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic psychotherapy.
In my practice, I am particularly passionate about counseling and therapy that fully integrates body, mind, and spirit. Through ongoing consultation, collaboration, and training, I am developing a unique sub-specialty in spiritual abuse and wounding.
When I am not working to provide high-quality trauma-informed care to individuals or systems, I can probably be found in one of three places
- At home, with a mug of tea watching British television
- On the mountain bike trails, huffing and puffing up a hill with my 29er
- Playing in the park with my wife, our daughter, or our dogs
One of my core beliefs is that our old lives need to die before a renewed life can begin. Sometimes these lives were picked up from our childhood, sometimes they came from our faith tradition, sometimes they were painfully “taught” to us by our old life.
Either way, I love to work with my clients to encourage post-traumatic growth – not just positive thinking or coping skills, but a life that is actually renewed daily from the inside out. I hope that you will do me the honor of letting me walk with you on your journey!
